The beach closest to the town is Almyros, only 1.5 km away. It is a large, sandy, organisedbeach, with toilets, showers, canteens, even alifeguard and a children's playground. The water is shallow and suitable for families. Smallchildren can enjoy playing in the sand and theplayground. Older children can have fun withwater sports, such as jet skiing, water skiing,ringo, banana, speed boat tours etc. Two kilometres outside the town, you will find Ammoudara beach, which is also equipped withumbrellas and chairs arranged on the fine golden sand, while swimming inthe shallow clear water isenjoyable and comfortable. Of course, if you really do not want to leave town at all, you can swim at the municipal beaches, which have in fact been awarded a blue flag.
