Flavor from the island
I would propose you to visit the biggest island of Ionian Aegean- sport ter in in June or October, for the following important reasons:

From past to today
Cephalonia has big history. It was first habitated in Palaiolithic Period, as it was proved by the abundant discoveries in the regions of Samis, Fiskardoy and Scale. In Mycean Period, the residents unfolded, “were wedded” in the all island and “gave birth” a single culture. However from then and until the 8th century bc the island presented picture of abandonment.

In the archaic Period it began to recover progressively. In the Hellenistic years, the juxtapositions sport ween the cities of - states that existed, the cities acquired powerful fortifications. After the Roman conquerors, Cephalonia in the dues of 4th century constituted department of Byzantine Empire. This period of Venetian domination, had everything! From piratical pillages up to economic and intellectual growth. All these lasted up to 1797. It is also interesting the lake Abythos in the village Ag. Nikolaos (39km. from Argostoli), the marine caves in Ag. Kiriaki, the rock of Koynopetras (in the homonym village), aquatic land in the village Meadow (near the Lixoyri) and the cavern of Drakainas in slope of the gorge of Bochyna (in the Resource).

These are the most important sightseeings which nature gave in the residents of Cephalonia and the visitors.
