Serifos, is an island in the heart of Aegean, has
extent 73 km2 and abstains from Piraeus 70 n.m. Wavy mountains
are interrupted by small fertile valleys, cover this graphic
island leading to a unfinished line from rocks that shape multifarious
bights. The strange forms of rocks remind human figures that live
up the fable of Danae, Persea and Medoysas.
The boats “touch”, anchor in the protected from airs Meadow (HARBOR)
in the Eastern side of island, from where it begins big sandy beach, that unfolds
in form of petal. Perched in the top of hill, the country capital of island
with her cubic lodges, the islander graphic churches and the Enetic castle
more tally, strikes as fairy-like state.
Serifos allocates rented rooms and apartments of all categories as well as
few hotels. It is connected daily with Piraeus with fery-boat (4 hours)
and with flying dolphins (2 hours), also it has connection with the other islands
of Cyclades.
