Excavations on the place of assembly were begun 1950 by D Lazarides and continued until 1966. The reinforcement walls and the buildings of the Suedenceinte (newer city) became then open. The same range and the old Kirchhoefe became later by 19. Ephorate of the praehistorischen and classical antiques excavated. The outdated city within the north reinforcement wall and its Kirchhofs were excavated systematically since 1981.
A project for retaining the monuments was taken
up 1985. Up to now all buildings, which are found during the old
scooping out, were manufactured again and the place of assembly are to
the visitors opened.

The areas are organized, paved around a center, peristyle
yard with a well.

The outdated city.
The Remains of an outdated mechanism are at the Ne corner
of the north reinforcement wall opens. Scooping out got two of
the defensive wall, the dock yards, the already area and the private
houses to the successive phases of the light.
