Palaeolithic period.

To Tit is more rockshelter in lowers
from Louros, m. 20 over the present river bank, near because of the
village of Aghios Georghios. The scooping out uncovered an order
of the deposits, approx. m. 5 thickly. The lower part of the
layering (layers 19-16) dates industries to 100,000 BP and furnished
middle Palaeolithic (Mousterian), with a large percentage Blatt-wie of
the articles. The following layer (14), dates too approx..
40,000 BP, also by somewhat middle Palaeolithic industries
(Micromousterian) by small, flake tools one marks.
The top of the deposit (layers 10, 7, 4) furnished upper
Palaeolithic industries with the small bladelet tools, dated too
approx.. 26,000 BP.
